The weather at the Kenyan coast can be extremely hot. At times like this everyone cares for a cold drink and not everyone can afford to have a fridge or a freezer. So ice at an affordable price would make a booming business.

             

I have been doing it for several years now. Stay at home moms and students can make some money  from home.

                     

The raw material is fresh water, and the reason you should use fresh water is because some people may want to put the ice in their drinks. Next is plastic containers eg: empty blue band containers, ice cream containers etc. You can look for different sizes so the prices will vary from Ksh.5, Ksh.10, Ksh.20 just put affordable prices. A normal fridge will work even with the small freezer and if you are privileged to have a big freezer good for you can be a supplier to even Restaurants around town.
